3 very different cards for the 3 very unique fathers in my life - my husband the biker, my Dad the fisherman, and my father-in-law the stained glass artist. Father's Day was spent with the entire family grilling out, having lots of laughs, and shooting lots on our firing range.  We could not have had a more perfect day!  Burgers and bullets has become an annual tradition at our house for Father's Day.
I am off to Pennsylvania for work in a few minutes, but I will share close ups of each card and details upon my return.  As always, your comments are appreciated.  Please tell me what you think.
Until then ....

My Mom may be my Mom by marriage, but she is no less by Mom than my biological Mom.  How lucky is that!?  This great Mom has a passion for pink, purple, and butterflies.  Though it's hard to see in the photo, the flowers are spritzed with all the glitz and glam that pink smooch spritz (now retired) has to offer.  Mom shares the same passion for stamping that I have and I look forward to our finding time for my favorite day we share every year - a Mother/Daughter stamping day!  Not only on Mother's Day (for which this card was made) but every other day too, I say "Thank You" for sharing all that you are with me - your love, your time, and your son.  There could be no greater gifts in my life than the amazing family we have become!

To create your own Notably Inked by Leslie card, you will need the following supplies:

Remember the card with the "Fabulous" shoes for my Mom?  Well, not to abuse her on Mother's Day, but EVERYONE in the family who saw the card and read the post just had to see those shoes!  And here they are, along with my completely awesome Mom.  Thank you Mom for being a great sport and allowing the grandchildren to share in my wonderful memory of those "fabulous" shoes.

In case you missed the original card post, you can see it under archives from this past Friday.

With Mother's Day nearly upon me, I got this great inspiration of a "poem" of sorts at 1:00 in the morning.  You now, that time  on a work night when a normal, sane person would be sleeping!  Instead, I was staring the clock down and fondly remembering this pair of pastel patchwork patterned pumps that my Mom bought herself when I was maybe 6 years old.  My Mom is the great outdoors person that we lovingly call "Susie Nature", so while pumps in the 60's were the norm (except for on my Mom), I don't remember her wearing this pair of shoes more than once in my life.  But yet, she does still have them nearly 5 decades later and her final wish is to be buried with those fabulous patchwork pumps with the matching purse!  In honor of her and of the many fond memories I have due to her (and the memories yet to come), I would like to honor her with my version of those FABULOUS shoes!

I was making spaghetti for dinner last night when this crazy "re-purpose it" idea dawned on me!  There must be something better to do with those small empty cans that my mushrooms came in - something besides throwing them in the trash.  And then the above idea was born - how about a holder for all those pesky paperclips that seems to be all over my desk.  This can is perfectly sized to hold both the jumbo and small paperclips, and makes a wonderful gift for the person in your life who has everything or who maybe needs to clean the clutter!  Many of the great items found on my paperclip holder are from the sale-a-bration catalog, which means you can earn 1 free item from this catalog for every $50 you spend.  But hurry!  This offer only runs through March 22nd.
