Four years ago my aunt started her creative journey as an independent Stampin' Up! demonstrator. Little did I know that by listening to her and following her journey, I was really nurturing my own creative journey - a journey that would begin when I hosted the first Stampin' Up! party that my aunt had ever demonstrated. That was October 2009.
Well that was all I needed to give me a push! I earned lots of free products from that show and wanted so much more. But my aunt lives in Iowa and I am in central Illinois - while it was easy to get her demonstrator discount (she is family after all) it was not easy arranging to get the product from her house to mine. In early 2010 my aunt offered up the perfect solution - I could sign up as a demonstrator! The starter kit was a gift from my aunt - a gift that will always be cherished as my own creative beginning.
And the rest is history - being made one stamp, one card, one idea at a time!
While stamping is my passion, it is not all-consuming for me. Forty hours a week I am the supplies buyer for a community college - getting to use a bit of the creativity I nurture to bring new and exciting designs to college students each semester. I also have a wonderful husband who supports me in all ways and four wonderful children ages 25 to 16. And when I need to escape it all? I head straight to my own private stamping sanctuary!
Stamp On!
